COVID-19 planning & attendee requirements for IBSMA Summits

IBSMA is committed to your health and safety and will follow applicable COVID-specific governmental and facility policies and protocols for venues in the City of Chicago. As guidance/regulations continue to change, we will issue definitive event policies as we get closer to the event date. In the meantime, we will provide regular updates to ensure a safe, healthy, enjoyable experience. Please refer to the following resources for current guidance:

Masks

We will follow CDC and local state guidelines in regards to masking, and will update policies on this page as we approach the meeting. We suggest all attendees wear a well-fitting mask on site, in event meeting rooms and public areas, but it is not required.

Vaccination requirement

All in-person attendees at IBSMA Summits are encouraged to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the time of the meeting. “Fully vaccinated” means either two weeks have passed since receiving the second dose of an FDA- or WHO-authorized double-dose COVID-19 vaccine or two weeks have passed since receiving the one dose of an FDA- or WHO-authorized single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.

If you are not be fully vaccinated by the time of the meeting and are registered for the in-person meeting, we ask you to wear a mask while in the event session rooms and meeting areas. All attendees are encouraged to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.

If you registered for the in-person conference in Chicago and are unable to attend in person, please join us online for live-streamed sessions, Q&A, and other interactive features. You may change your registration from in person to online-only by contacting IBSMA no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern on June 1. You will receive a refund of the fee difference between the in-person and online registration fees. Please contact IBSMA for additional information.

Proof of vaccination is not required at this time. In the event this policy changes, IBSMA will notify registered attendees prior to the meeting of the accepted method(s) of vaccination validation. If required, instructions for submitting proof of vaccination will be posted on this page closer to the meeting.
