SAM Summit '07

The world of software asset management is always changing. Don't be left behind the curve. SAM Summit '07 arrives in Chicago May 14-15, 2007, to deliver an all-new education and networking experience for software asset management professionals. This summit will cover advanced level, cutting-edge topics including ISO/IEC 19770 SAM standards, SAM process assessment, SAM best practices, as well as SAM licensing, tools and legal issues.

Sessions are geared for moderate to experienced practitioners with the relevant case studies, panel discussions, productive work groups and lively seminars. This intensive two-day summit also includes time for valuable networking and discussions. New this year sessions are longer to allow for more discussion time and questions. Plus there are be plenty of opportunities for one-on-one meetings.

IBSMA invites all Summit attendees to register for the new Planning and Implementing Software Asset Management Processes 1.5-day seminar following the Summit, May 16 and 17.

If you are a goal-oriented IT practitioner with drive, experience and commitment to professional growth. This seminar is for you. Demonstrate your software asset management competence by earning the SAM practitioners’ certificate. This 1.5-day course will help you understand and apply the ISO/IEC 19770-1 software asset management processes standard with a results-oriented team-learning approach to creating policies, processes and procedures.

Ideal for practitioners of all levels, the course is a first step in demonstrating SAM competence and for obtaining ISO SAM certification for your organization. Upon completion of the session students may take the optional certification exam. Students passing the test will receive IBSMA’s PCSAM certificate. Course details

The course runs from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. the first day and from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the second day. Lunch will be served both days (included in the course fee). The optional exam will be given on the second day. Space is limited to 20. The course fee includes a charge of $150 to cover licensed ISO materials. All attendees will receive a copy of ISO/IEC 19770-1 (paper and PDF) and presentation materials (paper copy only, PDF not available).
