How to Fix and Prevent Oracle Noncompliance

If you use Oracle software, you're probably out of compliance with your license right now, according to Craig Guarente, a former Oracle license executive and speaker at the upcoming SAM Summit in Chicago. If fact, Guarente, who now runs his own consulting firm, Palisade Compliance, finds that his Oracle clients are often out of compliance and don't even know it until it's too late.

"Most customers are out of compliance because it's very easy to check a box when installing Oracle and turn on features and reports that they're not licensed for," says Guarente. "Oracle doesn't prevent unlicensed options from being launched."

In his presentation at the 2013 SAM Summit, Guarente will guide you through proven best practices that will not only save your company millions of dollars in unnecessary license fees, but may also give you the flexibility to lower your annual Oracle spend.

"When you get an audit letter from Oracle, it's like getting an audit letter from the IRS," says Guarente, who guides companies of all sizes through how to respond to Oracle audits requests and negotiate the best possible outcome.

You're invited to here Guarente's session, Surviving an Oracle Audit and Coming Out Ahead, at the SAM Summit, Chicago, June 26. To register, visit SAMSummit.com.
