Top Software and IT Companies Support IBSMA as Industry Members
ANN ARBOR, MICH. (Jan. 27, 2008) — Adobe, CA and Microsoft are just three of the top technology companies showing their support of the International Business Software Managers Association, the world's largest organization of software asset managers, by becoming Industry Members.
Top IT companies join IBSMA for the same reason our member do, to learn from each other, to help shape best practices in software asset management, and to have a say in international standards that affect software publishers, as well as tool and service providers.
“Our industry members provide us with an astounding level of support, input, resources, and leadership,” says Steven Russman, IBSMA's executive director. “They understand the importance of being at the table to help direct the industry's future.”
Industry Members will move forward the association's goals for 2008, which include publication of a book of best practices in software and IT asset management gathered from IT managers around the globe; expansion of our low-cost tool for SAM gap analysis and process assessment; production of the annual SAM Summit, a conference for IT pros; more SAM certificate courses; and an expanded list of new publications.
Roster of IBSMA 2008 Industry Members:
Adobe Systems, AppStream, BDNA, CA, Centennial Software, Eracent, Express Metrix, Hewlett-Packard, Holistic Solutions, KPMG, McAfee, Macrovision, ManageSoft, Microsoft, Novell, Oracle, Sassafras Software, Scott & Scott, LLP and Symantec.
