Software License Compliance Certification for Organizations

The International Business Software Managers Association’s Software License Compliance Certification for Organizations (SLCCO) program is an official recognition that your SAM program conforms to international standard ISO/IEC 19770-1.

Why become certified?
Certification means that your SAM program has reached a high level of effectiveness in 27 key categories and 200 separate processes. Once this level is achieved, organization can realize reduced costs, reduced risks and improved IT service support and delivery.

Certification may also demonstrate compliance with software license agreements and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Software publishers and compliance officials looking for prospects to audit are more likely to pass over organization certified for ISO/IEC 19770-1 conformance because these organizations are unlikely to have disorderly records and noncompliant practices.
